Collection of Information​

In order to use the LodgeiT systems, you will need to enter your private information into our systems.
All correspondence that transpires between you and us will also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support and accounts; this including email correspondence.

How We Use Your Data​

Once you’ve accessed the LodgeiT Platform and added personal and/or client data, that data is then used in any of the processes and functions that deliver the LodgeiT service including –

Filling of regulatory tax filings
Creating financial statements
Communicating with clients

We may also use your data to communicate with you, either to deliver marketing or support information or to alert you to enhancements to our services or if there are security issues you need to be made aware of.

If you are an accountant, we never communicate directly with your clients, though you may choose to use our email integration and chat communication technologies to communicate with your clients.

Storage & Retention of Collected Information​

The security of your personal information is important to us. All data entered into the LodgeiT systems is encrypted at rest and in transit. Please read more about our security procedures here.

Your data is retained on the LodgeiT platform while we have an ongoing business relationship with you. Once you cease to have a relationship with us, we will delete your data on-demand. Otherwise, given the importance of tax information we will maintain your data indefinitely.

When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and the transaction is completed via our third-party payment collections partner – When Credit Card details are collected, we simply pass them on to the card processing company in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete Credit Card details.

In the case of a request for deletion, we retain only the Organization’s history of their payments and lodgment credits usage. None of their or their client’s identifiable data retained.

LodgeiT only operates in Australia and your data is retained in Australia according to the rules imposed on us by . You may access your data from overseas and LodgeiT remains bound by the rules imposed on us by the Australian Tax Office with respect to data retention in Australia.
